Tis the season for canning!

Hello,

Some of you have already seen some of my pictures of the pears that Bryan and I canned this year......

And here are the peaches that Bryan and I canned on Saturday. They didn't turn out as nice as the pears, and they look a little fussy to me in the juice....but I think they will taste ok. I hope. It was really fun to have Bryan help me with this. I think he enjoyed doing it too. I think he likes the fact that I need his help with the hot water, and pulling the heavy jars out of the boiling water. It is nice to have someone who is not afraid of hot water around.

We are not doing much for Labor Day, but it is nice to have the day off. Bryan has it off too. It is nice to have a whole day with him. Not sure what we will do tomorrow, but it will be fun to be with him and Spencer. We will not travel to far from home, because of the gas prices going up to much. The gas station right behind our home, is now $2.99 per gallon. Ouch!

If you have not seen the movie "Because of Winn Dixie" you really should. Bryan and I rented it last night and watched it after Spencer went to bed. It was a really good movie. Kind of like a "Feel Good" movie. I think Bryan was not to sure about it, but he was laughing through out the movie. It made me happy when it was over.

Bryan and I have been going for morning walks for the past few days. It is really cool, not to hot, and Spencer seems to enjoy it too. He falls asleep usually only a block from our home. I took my camera with us today and got a cute picture of Spencer in his stroller before we headed out. I bundle him up for fear he will get sick.

Also saw some really interesting flowers in front of one of the homes we walked passed.

Purple Dasies!

And one last picture to share of Spencer in his bouncer! He loves this thing!

Ok Spencer is so cute!! I know I say that on every comment I write but I think he keeps getting cuter and cuter!!

Love the canning! You've inspired me! I'll have to see what kind of fruit they have around these parts to can.... We're still in the middle of hot, freakin' summer so it will be awhile before it cools down.

I miss Spokane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
