Nativity

Bryan, Spencer and I went to our Church's Nativity program last night. It was just as good if not better this year than last year. Bryan and I had donated our christmas tree last year (but they had it crammed in a corner because it looked so sickly compared to the other trees there) and we also volunteered too. This year with Spencer our hands are a bit full and we thought it would be nice to just be guests to the event.

It was a very cold, frosty evening, with very slick roads. Bryan had invited two of his friends and their families to join us, but they both backed out. So we packed up Spencer and went to the Church ourselves. I am so glad that we did. One of the high schools Girls Chior was singing, and they sung "Carol of the Bells". Amazing!!!! I got goose bumps. Spencer did great listening and sitting calmly for 15 minutes then he must have realized it was past his bed time and started squirming in Byran's arms. We quickly got up and went to look at the Nativities set up in the cultual hall. It was beautiful in there. Christmas trees with white lights, and I think over a thousand nativities set up on tables. There were christmas ornaments, paintings, quilts, eggs, wood, metal, plush, and clay. All were nativities. Members and non-members in the area donated their family nativities for this event! It was beautiful! But I forgot to bring my camera so we didn't get any pictures! ugggg!

p.s. I bought the cats new cat toys to play with instead of the plush nativity we have under our christmas tree. Seems to have helped...but now Spencer has found it!

Dear Brenda! Cliff and I so enjoy everything you forward to us. All of it. I especially enjoy the blog and the pictures you add to it. Thank you, thank you. We had a lot of snow last night--over a foot--and Cliff is out taking pictures before it gets trampled down and shoveled up. Maybe I'll get them uploaded for everyone today. Good job Brenda--on everything.
