Fantastic Friday---late by one day

Another busy week.

Bryan, Spencer and I were able to attend a Baby Blessing for Kristi and Jared's baby boy Timothy, on Sunday. Bryan was not able to join the men in the group circle when Jared gave his baby boy a blessing because Spencer decided he was going to have a dirty diaper. It was way to stinky to wait. The people around us would have had to sufer from the smell.

On Wednesday I got to get my weekly Massage, but only for 30 minutes because Bryan and I had planned a date to the Temple that evening. My Massage Therapyst asked me what I did over the weekend, and I couldn't think of anything. She said that my left shoulder and back were really tight. It was a painful massage but very much needed. Bryan and Spencer got to go to the little park down the street from the Massage Office and I guess Spencer was not a good boy with Bryan. Bryan told him several times to come to him while Spencer was at the top of a slide so that Bryan could help him go down the slide, but I guess Spencer just laughted at Bryan and ran from him and went down the other slide on the other side- backwards!!!! Bryan was not happy and unfortuanlty for Spencer "playing at the park" came to a quick close.

Wednesday evening we went to the Temple like I said. While I was in the dressing room getting my dress on, I had a very strong thought about an old friend. I got sad thinking about how she had moved to Iowa 2 years ago and we had gone to the temple several times before she and her husband moved. When I walked into the room with all the other members sitting down before the session started, I saw Bryan and then I saw Jon (the husband to this friend I was talking about above) and then I quickly scaned the room where the women were sitting and saw Becky!!! I was so excited. I can't believe I was just thinking about her! We talked after the session was done and found out they have moved back to Washington but not Spokane. They were visiting their families before Jon's residency started.

We drove over to Dairy Queen after wards and then realized that we knew several people in Dairy Queen as well. Several of the members of the Pines Ward in the Valley where there. They Young Men group had just won the Stake Championship for SoftBall and they were out celebrating. We had not seen these people in almost 2 years as well. It was so nice to chat and catch up on things. What was really nice was the fact that they all remembered us! It made me feel good.

Thursday I went to my new Chiropractor's office for my consultation appointment. Spencer was baby sat by my friend Des and when I came to pick him up I got a huge surprise in the van. I was driving along, almost to Des's home when I felt something crawling on my left arm. I quickly started swatting, thinking it was a spider. I did see something out of the corner of my eye. I didn't see it clearly because I was trying to keep my eyes on the road. I saw this thing fall down my lap and under the stering wheel. I froze! I quckly pulled over trying to keep my foot on the break and scared it was going to crawl up my leg. Then I felt it on my left leg! I quickly began swatting! And THEN....... I saw a wasp fly up from under the dash and out the passanger window!!!!!! OH MY Goooooooodnesssss!!!!!!!! I am so lucky that I didn't get stung!!!!!!!!

Thursday evening during bedtime story time I pointed to several pictures in his picture book and asked him what they were and he did the "Sign" for all of them. For example....I pointed to the picture of the ball and asked him "What is that?" He did the sign for Ball. I usually say the word verbaly what ever the item is and then he does the sign, but I didn't know he knew what the sign was with out me telling him what it was. I am so proud of Spencer!!

On Friday morning Bryan woke me up at 6:15am to tell me that he needed the keys to my van because his truck would not start. Spencer and I took a short bus trip to the Bus Barn that morning to pick up the van because I had some appointments to go to, and then we picked Bryan up in the early afternoon. We tried to jump start Bryan's truck. Almost fried the battery in the van (the Negative and Positive areas were not clearly marked) but finally got the truck started and drove it over to the car repair shop. They fixed it... it needed a little bit more than just a new battery. We just love this car repair shop that we go to...they are so fast and accomidating.

Friday evening Spencer started to act a bit sickish. He would not eat his dinner and refused to drink the milk we gave him during Bed night Story time....He cried and fusted in my arms. I took him into his bed room and tried to calm him by rocking him in the rocking chair but he kept crying...then he threw up all over me. I have come to the realization that I can do poop, yucky poop but I can't do vomit all over me. I freaked and had to get Bryan's help. Poor Spencer. I am just not a good mom when it comes to vomit. He vomited again in a bowl right after I cleaned him up. I ended up going to the all night pharmacy to get some medicine for Spencer and I spent most of the night up with him. I don't think I got more than 2 hours of sleep at a time. I am TIRED today!

Today has been "DO NOTHING DAY!" But try to chatch up on emails and update the blog.

Here are a few pictures from this past week.

Hope you all enjoy and hope you are having a good weekend.

You had ne sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what was crawling on you while you were driving! How scarely was that! YOu should have seen the different things I was picturing: lizard, mouse, praying mantis, snake, kitty...you name it I probably imagined it!

That's a trip that you thought of Becky, then there she was!

I am so glad that you are enjoying seeing Spencer learn. It is such a joy and I am happy that your experiencing it everyday! (Even if you get vomited on sometimes!)
