new toys and weekly update

I got a lap top!!! I have been playing with it for the past few days - getting programs I want on it down loaded and just getting use to it. I am going to use it mainly to do my digital scrapbooking. I am hoping that I will be able to get more pages done while spending time with spencer in our living room at the same time. We will see.

The specs on the lap top are:
HP Pavilion 8000 series.
17 inch monitor
It has media center on it- not sure how this program works but i will learn as I go.
It has a cd and dvd player and burner
I can also watch TV on it. I still have to read the manual to get this to work.

I LOVE it so far.

This week we have been getting over that yucky flu that Spencer got last Friday.

I gave a talk during sacrament meeting at church on Sunday. Thankfully Bryan did not have to go into work tell 4:20pm on Sunday so he stayed home with Spencer. I was sad that they could not come but it was better that Spencer was not there because he probably would have cried while I was giving my talk up at the podium.

Like I wrote earlier Bryan and I both both new lap tops. I love the lap top, but it was very difficult shoping for them with Spencer. He wanted out of the cart and then all he wanted was Bryan to play with him. He was getting into everything. I had to take him out of the store several times. We ended up being at the store almost 2 hours. Poor Spencer. The next day when I went to pick it up I had to wait for almost 15 minutes tell they found the computers in the back....funny that I had just received a call an hour before and the guy on the phone said they were ready for pick up and the staff at the store could not find them. Spencer did better this time but he was getting tired of being in the cart again.

I have been a really bad picture taker this week. With Spencer being sick the begining of the week and then being busy with the new computer I have not taken any pictures.

I did take Pepe' to the vet on Wednesday. I had to bring Spencer along with me. I was a bit worried, but it turned out fine. Spencer did great and so did Pepe'. Pepe' walked right into his cat carrier when I opened it up and called his name. He did meow in the car ride there and back. Normal for cats. Spencer played with the toys in the kid area, while I filled out paper work. We all went into the exam room. I think Spencer thought that he was going to see the doctor because he started crying. I told him that Pepe' was seeing the doctor today. The assistant opened the cat door and Pepe' walked right out. He was so relaxed. He struted around the counter top. Rubbed on the assistants hands and pen while she was writing down his weight in his chart. She gave him two cat treats but he didn't want them. They fell onto the ground and Spencer soon found them and tried to eat them. Needless to say, Spencer did not like them. He made the funnest face I have ever saw, and he handed me the cat treat. YUCKY! I don't think I need to worry about him eating the cat food at home now. LOL!
Pepe' didn't even jump when the Vet gave him his two shots too. He was SOOOO Good! I was so proud of him. The vet said that he looked good, but did need to loose some weight. I am not sure how much he ened up weighing. I forgot to ask. He weights less than Spencer though. Spencer is almost 30 pounds now! OUCH!

Bryan and I are attending a Love and Logic Seminar tonight. It should be good.
