Christmas Day!

I am happy. Really happy. It has been a long time it seems since I have been really happy on Christmas. I am still away from my family, and that makes me sad, but Bryan got Christmas Eve night off (3:30pm was sent home from work) and he also got to spend Christmas morning with the Bug and me! What a great DAY! But work has now begun for him and he left about a half hour ago and will not be home tell 9pm tonight. SAD. But I am greatful for having him this morning to help the Bug open his presents!

We had the video camera on when we went to get the Bug out of bed this morning. I don't think he understood why we were making such a fuss. He saw some of his unwrapped gifts (decided at the last minute that there was no point....to wrap them...since he is still not interested in ripping the paper off yet-next year I am sure all presents will need to be wrapped.). When he saw his basket ball hoop he got excited, and when he saw his Blues Clues Alphabet toy he got excited too, as well as the Little Race Car toy. We had to quickly assemble the toys and put batteries inside for him to play with.

Let me just tell you that it is very interesting to open Christmas Presents with a child. They want to play with the toys right then instead of opening the next gift. We didn't have to much gifts for the Bug but it still took us 2 hours to open gifts. He got distracted easily. We did stop half way and ate Breakfast. French Toast Strata Yummy! Turned out pretty good. Think it needed something more though....Sugar, or somthing. It was still very very yummy. EASY too! I cut the receipe in half since there is only three of us and didn't need that much.

Now for a relaxing day of surfing the internet! The Bug is taking his nap (hopfully 2 hours or more) and I have all the christmas gifts put away. It was sooooo nice to only get a few items from Bryan. I got pj's, Vanilla Milk sented bubble bath, neck massager, a Lap Top pad to put my lap top on while I am sitting on the couch so that my legs don't get hot! How cool is that!!! I am using it right now as I type this blog entry. Bryan got socks (white and black- much needed), several T-Shirts, PJ's, and X-Man III video.
