I got to surprise my sister this weekend. My brother-in-law bought me and the bug a plane ticket and flew us down to surprise my sister. She is pregnate with twins (boys) for those who read this blog and didn't know. She is having her Baby Shower tomorrow!
It was so great to see her expression when she first saw me. Her husband made her close her eyes and I came into the house and stood infront of her (she was sitting on the couch- because of bed rest) and I said "Open your eyes!" This is the first time I have seen her since she has become pregnate. I have seen pictures but not the real thing in front of my eyes. She looks really good, for having twins. She doesn't think so...but she really is looking good.
Now....to tell you all about my flight down....It was HELL! The worse flight I have had in a very very long time. I am not looking forward to flying home on Monday. It had nothing to do with the airplaine, or the other passengers, or the flight attendents. It has everything to do with me and my Motion Sickness that I get. Oh....my... Our first flight was from Spokane to Seattle. I did ok with the take off...got a bit sickish. The bug was fine but would not sleep. He took his two hour nap before we left for the airport. He was kind of wild on the plane. When we were landing...it was a bumpy ride and I felt really sick. But I made it. Then we had to run to our next flight from Seattle to Oakland. The gate was in a totally different part of the airport. RUNNING with a 30 pound toddler in your arms is not fun. We made it with 10 minutes to spare and then it was time for us to board the next plane. We were seated in the very last row of the plane. Assigned seats. We had a middle seat. There was an older man sitting in the aile seat and the man who was assigned the window seat decided to take the last empty seat in a different row. I was very happy for this. The take off was smooth but I got really sick feeling. My hands went numb. Strange!!! Scary!!! Not sure what was going on with me. The bug did good sitting in my lap. Once we got up in the air I got out the DVD player and let the bug to watch some Baby Einstein videos. This helped. Then the landing...it was smooth again but....then I realzed that the bug had had a "Blow Out" in his diaper. It was everywhere!!!!!!! All over me...and the smell! OH MY! That is what got me. I threw up! Grabbed the bag for me...and I soon felt better. We had to wait for everyone to get off the plane since we were in the back. I asked the airline attendent for some help and she was great. I felt so bad for everyone sitting around us. The smell from the bug's diaper must have been bad!!!!
We deboarded and I found a bathroom and had to use the floor in the big stall because he was so dirty. That was a joke...trying to get him cleaned up. Then we walked down to where my brother-in-law was waiting. I think he was nervous when we didn't come and didn't come. Our luggage was the only items on the belt when we got to the bagagge claim area. Nice! It was soooooooo nice to be on the ground...and the bug fell right to sleep in the car! NICE!
I got to go with my sister to one of her doctor appointments. Got to see the "boys" (the Tots) on the ultrasound! Cool.
The baby Shower is today. I will try and get some pictures...and post them.
