Like I wrote in my last post, I have been busy with my Homeschooling Credit class. It really has not been that hard, just difficult being in the evenings. Anyone who knows me, I am not an evening person. I pretty much start shutting down when the sun goes down at the end of the day. It is my time to wind down after all the stuff I have been doing during the day. I am having a difficult time not having my time to unwind how I am use too. But I keep reminding myself that it is only one more week. Bryan likes to "kid me" that the Bug is just like me because he is really alot like me in this regard.
Bug is a morning person....that is for sure!!! For the past two weeks he has been waking up anywhere between 4am and 5am! Ouch! I like to get up early but not that early. Because he has been waking up so early I have not been able to have my time to get ready for my day (i.e. shower, hair, makeup, dress, make bed, pick up living room) before I have to get him out of his crib. Then when he is up....he follows me around whinning. UGGGGG! I can't stand whinning, and I am sure everyone out there reading this blog would agree with me when they here someone whine that you get edgey. If not, then I wish that I was you right now. Those of you who are reading this blog and are thinking, "Well this is what kids do and you wanted to have kids, so deal with it.", I agree with you. I am glad that I am frustrated, I am glad that I am not where I was 3 years ago before Bug was placed in our care, I am glad that I get woken up every morning to him crying, or fussing, or what ever he is doing....But I just need to vent sometimes, and get my frustrations off my chest so that I can move on. And getting feed back from other people who have been in my shoes in a simular situation helps me to remember that I am not going crazy, or alone, and that "This phase will too pass."
It feels good to vent everyonce and a while, and then focus back on your life. Remembering to always be greatful to Heavenly Father with what you have in your life in the past, today and in your future. He is always there to help you through life with the help of Jesus Christ and the comforter "The Holy Spirit." What a happy thought.

You are allowed to be stressed out, tired and any other emotion that you have, and still be ever so grateful for having Spencer in your life. Mommies and daddies are allowed to feel overwhelmed. This too shall pass. The whining, well that is just a phase. Just try to re-direct him to another activity, that's what our OT gal tells us. As far as the "early riser" thing, well, does he still nap? Maybe try to nap a little longer and then put down for night-time beddy bye at around 8:00-8:30pm. That's what I do. When Christopher doesn't take a nap, he goes to bed super early (7:00pm) and then wakes up at the crack of dawn. Give it a try to save your sanity. Good luck!!!
I feel your pain. I've given up on the shower and get ready everyday plan. My kids are up around 6, and that's too early.
Sometimes they wake up earlier, but I do my best to get them back to sleep. Have you tried putting him back to sleep by giving a bottle, take him in your bed.. whatever works for you. He may be whiny because he's still tired?
Kids are so fun, and bring so much to our lives, yet it's so exhausting too.
Hang in there and i hope you get some rest.
