Pneumonia

The Bug is sick once again. It started coming on last Tuesday, but I just thought it was allergies. He had been sniffing flowers earlier that day.

By Wednesday he was pretty stuffy, and I realized that it was more than allergies so out came the medicines. But nothing seemed to help the symptoms. He started coughing on Thursday night.
Dispite the fact that he was coughing and had a runny nose the kid was acting like normal....running around, talking (or atleast trying to talk), climbing inside laundry baskets and just being very happy.
This morning, he woke up at 4am screaming. He was coughing really bad too. It took both Bryan and I to calm him down.
Then....as the morning went on, I thought to myself that his chest sounds really bad, and he is weezing....so I called his Pediatrian and got him in to be checked out. She had me take him to the Hosptial (Inland Imaging) to get a chest X-Ray. The results came back and the kid has a small case of Pneumonia in his lower right lung! She has prescribed meds and said that if he gets worse that we MUST take him to the Hospital.
So that is what is up here.....I am once again trapped in my home with a sick toddler....Uggg! I just hope that when he gets better, I don't get this!
I am not totally sure where he got this bug this time, but I think it very interesting that he got sick again after attending a Moms Club monthly Meeting at a church building that has a nursery. He has hung out with the kids in the Moms Club plenty of times....and sometimes gets sick and sometimes doesn't, but both times he has been in this nursery at this church, he has gotten really sick.
I know that it is a good thing to get him exposed to things when he is little, to build up his immune system but I hate that he is sick every 4 weeks or so. And when he is sick, he is sick for a week or longer!
