Not sure I really am ready for this....but I think Bug is ready to begin potty training. Uggg. I am not ready. There has been several signs that he has given me in the past month.
* going into the bathroom and lifting up the toilet seat, and trying to pull his pants down. (1 time)
* Telling me when he has gone number 2 (trying to be G rated here). He does into another room sometimes and then I find him and he says "I go Poo Poo", but when I say back to him, "You go Poo Poo?" his reply is "NO". But he really has.
* He is not wanting me to change his diaper. He gets really upset.
I did get a book and video called "Once Apon a Potty" from he library a few weeks back. It was a VHS and Bug wanted to watch it over and over and over and over and over again. I got so tired of listening to the song and it was only 10-15 minutes long and my VCR is old and slow at rewinding. It would have been better to have it on DVD and put it on repeat play. The video and books have since been returned to the Library. Bug has not mentioned them for awhile. He did finally notice that he was Peeing in the shower tonight. This is the first time that he has looked down to see himself going. I think he is getting the idea.
But I am NOT ready! Slow down!

that is good news! i know it is hard for mom, wanting her baby to stay a baby... but this really is good news!
go with it! you might be surprised!
I know EXACTLY what you are going through.........I was so not ready for potty training (and am still not despite the fact that I am potty training right now). Charlie is doing really well until we get to "POOP" days.he still has HUGE issues here. Hopefully as you don't have these isues it will go more smoothly. The pee doll is expensive but worth it, well it was for me, Vharlie loved it. Good luck.........my only advice.don't push too hard......that was my mistake........just show him what he has to do lots and lots of times and then let him lead.....don't let it become a control problem like me.
