Help!!!

I just had to sit down for a few seconds before Bug and I headed to his Speech and Occupational Therapy (joint) session this morning.

Bug has done something amazing but kind of scary to me.

It started Thursday morning. I got up at around 7am and heard Bug down stairs in his bed room as usual. He didn’t seem upset so I went into the bathroom to brush my hair, wash my face, put my contacts on, and brush my teeth. Afterwards, I came out of the bathroom and went to say good morning to Bryan; who had gotten up a bit earlier to start his online school stuff. But…..before I could get to the office to Bryan, Bug was right beside of me, saying “HI MOMMY!” He had gotten out of his twin bed, left his room, and came upstairs all by himself. He has NEVER done this before by himself.

So fast forward to about 1pm on Thursday, it was time for NAP. Bug didn’t really want to go down, but he was tired; rubbing his eyes and wanting “bubba” (pacifier) and “Jenny” (his lovie- giraffe stuffed animal, my sister gave it to him and her name is Jenny). So I took him down to his room and put him in his bed, gave him a kiss, and turned off the lights, and closed the door, and headed back upstairs. With in 2 minutes he was back up stairs smiling at me. I took him back down and put him back to bed and told him this time, “You need to stay in your bed and just have some quite time.” Headed back up stairs, and yet again he was up stairs with in a few minutes. So I took him down again….but this time I stood outside his bedroom door and when he opened it I was standing there and pointed to his bed. LOL He was so surprised to see me standing there. LOL But he quickly moved back to his bed and climbed in and layed down. I closed the door and he didn’t come out again.

Fast forward again to Friday morning (this morning). It is 6:45am…and I am slowly waking up. Don’t hear anything from the baby monitor and thinking to myself…”Ahh he is still sleeping. Yea!” But that was short lived…because I then hear someone at my bedroom door and Bryan was still in BED. Bug was at the bedroom door! He opened it up and came in to the room…closed the door and came over to my side of the bed and said, “Wake up MOMMY!” OH MY GOSH!!!! I couldn’t help but laugh and give him a huge hug…but really inside I am saying “OHHHHHH NOOOOOOOO!” He climbed up in the bed with us and layed for about a minute then was done, and climbed down and then that stinker went over to the light switch and turned on the over head light!!! OUCH!!!! No matter how much we begged him to please turn it off he just laughed at us and then ran out of the room. Ugggg

So cute. But yet not so fun when they learn to get out of bed and open doors and turn on lights. It is also handy at times though.
Funny boy.

Wow! I feel sorry for you. Dom is still in his crib, so we're lucky for the moment. He hasn't tried crawling out yet either.
I'm sorry. I guess this is all part of the Toddler world.

We're screwed....the boys are going to team up on us. I better not let them read your blog...wouldn't want them to get any ideas from Bug. I guess I will know what to watch out for in the future though!
