The Graduate

Bryan is unoffically a Graduate with his Masters Degree in Public Administration. His offically last day is this coming Sunday, February 22, 2009.

It has been a long 18 months. He has done a great job at keeping his grades up even while tryinng to study and work on papers with Bug jumping all over him and running around listening to kids songs. I don't think I would have survived a week with all the distractions at home and trying to study.

I am proud of you Honey. It has been a long road for you, one that you might still think has no real clear end, but you have come a long way. If your High School teachers could see you now. They always said you would not make it academically, but you proved them all wrong. You have made me proud sticking to your goals of getting this degree. I remember the first year of our marriage and I would come home and help you with your Algebra homework from the Junior College. You never thought you would get it but I always knew you could do anything you set your mind too.

Now you enter a new part of your life, looking for a new full time job that will utilize your educational skills. You are well on track with volunteering and now working part time for Community Minded Enterprises doing contract/grant writing work. I am proud of you for going with your gut and applying for this company. Who knows what will truly come from it. But what ever happens it has been a blessing to you. I see how excited you are each morning you get your business work clothes on and head out the door. You seem to have a spring in your step. It has been quite a while since you have had a smile on your face as you head out the door to work.

The kids and I wish you could be home more, but we understand that this is the sacrifice for now. It will not be forever, and now that you have graduated with your Masters Degree in Public Administration you WILL get a Monday-Friday job that will allow you to join us for the whole time on Sunday Church. It will be a great day when that happens. I think it is closer than we both might think.

I don't think I have thanked you for all the work you have done getting this degree, and taking care of our money needs by working at STA while going to school. It has been tough and I have not always been all that pleasant to be living with but I do want you to know I am proud of all that you do for us, and I am thankful for all that you do.
