I want to apologize to those of you who are reading my blog. I am not sure how many of you there really is, but I am sorry for being so lazy this past week, and not posting things on it. It has been a rather busy week and I will try and update you on the things going on.
Spencer got his first hair cut on Saturday. It was a quick decision and because of that I didn't have my camera with me to take pictures. Bummer! He did sooooooo good! When we arrived at the place, there was no one there. It was quite and he got to pick any of the chairs! He sat in the airplane chair and got to watch cartoons and play with some toys while the hair dresser cut his tiny locks! She saved some of his hair and taped them to a certificate that states he got his first hair cut. He never cried or fussed at all. It was amazing!
The fussing and the crying was not in short supply today at Spencer's Ear doctor appointment. He has yet another ear infection, and his doctor referred him to a specialist to check him out to make sure it was not something more serious and needing the attention of tubes in his ears. After helping the doctor and his nurse pin Spencer down so that the doctor could clean his ears (Get some of the wax build up out) and then try to look inside with his microscope to check his ear drums, I was exhausted. This kid is strong! And he is only 10 months old! The procedure was NOT painful just scary for him. He cried and turned red faced. He instantly stopped when I picked him up and held him afterwards. And as for the rest of his day......He has been "One tired baby!" He took an 1 1/2 nap when we got home, and now another nap as I am working on this blog. He was wiped out from all that crying!
On a side note! Everyone, and I mean everyone, at the doctors office kept telling me over and over how cute he was. Each person would come up to him and smile at him and comment on how cute he was and how cubby his cheeks were. I was proud.
Other news....Spencer's case worker passed away from a heart attack I think on January 2nd. We have a new one. Going to meet her for the first time next week (Tuesday). His Birthdad walked out of inpatient treatment last Saturday. And the Review hearing is still scheduled for February 2nd. Just keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
Nothing else to tell, other than we are going to go have pizza tonight at Round Table Pizza! I had no idea that we had a Round Table Pizza in our area! 20% of sales are going to a schools youth group. Going to help a good cause! Plus get some yummy pizza too!
