Had a Blast!!!!

We got home around 5:30pm last night from our trip to Calgary, Canada to visit Robin, Michelle, Kaigh, and Avi. If I had to use one word to sum up the trip I would have to use Fantastic!

There were some not so fun moments but as I sit here typing this entry...I am remembering all the fun we had on our short little trip to see Bryan's Brother's family. Kaigh has grown up since we saw him last in February of 2004, and so has Avi. They both were such a huge help with Bug. They played with him, and helped too keep him in the front yard when they were all playing.

We left on Monday July 2nd at 6:30am. We drove for two hour stretches at a time and then stopped to let Bug get out and run around. I had the joy of being the one driving when we crossed the the boarder into Canada. I always get so nervous when we have to talk to the boarder patrol. I think they are so scary. Not sure why...but I do. I guess I am afraid they will not let us in....or when we are coming home, they will not let us back into the USA. Silly hu?

Shortly after I crossed the boarder into Canada, I had a B.C. cop following me. I kept the cruse control on for 100 KMPH (60 MPH) and didn't get a ticket, but he was watching me like a hawk! Right when we got into Cranbrook he turned his motocyle bike around and his lights went on and pulled someone else over. Whooo. I am so glad it was not me.
Bug had fun picking up rocks and then running to the water fountain and throwing them in the water. There were tons and tons of rocks in the fountain already.
Here are a few pictures of our stop in Cranbrook, B.C. Canada.

We also stopped off in Black Diamond and let Bug run and climb on some play equipment. It was SOOOOOO HOT!

We finally arrived in Airdrie, Canada (North of Calgary) at around 7pm (6pm- our time- we lost an hour crossing over the Canadian Rockies).

Robin and Michelle were such great hosts and made us feel really welcome in their new home. They bought this cute new home some time last year and have been working on interior projects such as walnut wood floors, and tile in the bathrooms and also in the kitchen back splash. It is VERY nice. I should have taken some pictures of their home because I loved some of the designes, but I forgot to. Bummer...I hope I have a good memory when it comes time to designing my dinning room, and kitchen...because I loved what they did to theirs, and I am thinking I might want to reproduce the same style. We will see.

Here is a picture of Kaigh, Avi, and Bug hanging out in the basement the morning of the first day we were there.

We went to Calaway Park in the afternoon and had a really good time!

Here are a few pictures from the fun rides that Bug got to go on!

I will share more later!

looks like so much fun. And it wouldn't be so bad if they didn't let you back into your country. haha. good idea to stop every 2 hours, although I love to just get there fast.
