Movie Night

My book club went to the movies last night. I know, that might seem a wee bit strange to go to the movies when it was a book club. Aren't we suppose to read books and discuss them not watch movies? Well we did go see a movie that was made from one of the many books we have read in book club. It was the "Time Traveler's Wife". We actually read it back in 2006 I think. But I loved this story so much and was so moved by it, that I remembered every single part of the story. Last year when I found out that the movie was being made, I was estactic and eager to see it. I told the ladies in Book Club at our next monthly meeting that the book was being made into a movie.

And after a very busy summer and working on everyones schedules we finally were able to get a few of us together and headed to the theater to see this movie.
I LOVED IT! I know that it didn't get very good reviews...but I LOVED this movie just as much as I loved reading the book 3 years ago. I love the whole concept of time travel and I think that was part of my draw to it. But I also love the story, the love story that flows through the story. It was romantic and sad...and emotional and silly. To me it was a very strong story about love and facing your future, and being able to look back and finding yourself again.

If you have not seen this movie yet, I would highly recommend it. :)

I've been wanting to see "Julie & Julia" -- but I still haven't gotten around to it yet. It will probably be out of the theaters before I get to go see it!
