TapBallet!

Ladybug started Tap Ballet tonight!  She had so much fun. I was a proud mommy watching her through the one way mirror.  Snapping pictures as she passed by.  She picked up things very quickly.  The teacher was very impressed with her and said Ladybug did very well.

It was cute watching them prance around with the turquoise tutus.  :)

Birthday Party Time

Ladybug's birthday was the end of August, but we decided to wait tell after school started to have a party with her friends.  It turned out to be a small group but the girls seemed to have a good time.

I didn't get a picture of the kids releasing the butterflies that we had been raising.  But it was beautiful to watch them flutter away over the green rolling hills.

Here are a few pictures from the day!

First Day of School 2014-2015

Bug and I are offically independent homeschoolers this year.  I am excited to share through out the year what we are working on.

Ladybug is starting First GRADE!  Can't believe she is in First GRADE.  She was so excited this morning while I was helping her get dressed and ready.  It was raining this morning so I did not get any cute pictures of her near her bus or at the school it self.  We were trying really hard to stay dry!

She has one of the same teachers she had for Kindergarten for School this year.  She is VERY happy about that, and I am too.  She did really well with this teacher last year so I can see this year will be a repeat.

Can I be honest here?  I am grateful that my daughter enjoys school so much and does so well.  I am grateful that I don't have to worry about a phone call on a daily basis from the principal because of behavior issues.  We have had lots of calls stating she has had a bloody nose *witch happens way to much for my liking* or that she is sick with a temp.  But I can take those any day.  When my son was in public school it was daily I would get calls.  I love him but I do dread getting reports back from adults that have to deal with him.  He has gotten sooooo much better but there is still those moments he has and I just want to run and crawl under a rock.  I am embarrassed and feel defeated.  But my daughter makes up for that.  I do wish I could have her home with me to school as well.  Maybe that will be an option in the future, but for now she is doing well where she at.

And I do want to add, I am enjoying the learning my son and I are doing at home.  This year will be full of things that both of us look forward too.

Princess / Knights Camp and Some DRAMA.

So this past week the kids got to attend camps through a local Art Club.  The Corbin Arts Center.  This place holds classes or camps for the community almost year around.  This week I signed up Ladybug for a Princess/Knights camp and Bug a Drama camp.

Ladybug came home every day with a new craft she had made in class.  Bug worked hard learning is part for the play the class was working on and helping out with the set designs.  At the end of the week we got to attend the performance.  GREAT fun!

PUGS with FORTS

Cloe gets a lot of love from the kids.  And I mean a lot of love.  I think if Cloe would hold still enough Ladybug would put clothes on her.  But since Cloe is a wiggle worm that has yet to happen.

Here is some pictures of Cloe with Ladybug.

Love Cloe!

Ladybug made a fort today...and

....... Cloe could not help herself.  She had to join Ladybug.

And once Bug saw the cool Fort that Ladybug made he had to join too!

Kindergarten Graduation

My littlest one has graduated from Kindergarten!  It was so much fun to see her get her name called and given her little paper Graduation Cap.

The kids were then allowed to sit at their desks and decorate their caps how ever they wanted.

And then they each received a snow cone to enjoy outside on the front lawn. Here is a pictures with Ladybug's BFF!
The last day of school was pretty much just a day of assemblies.  Way to long and not much fun for the Kindergartners.  I am not sure we will attend at the end of First Grade. But before they headed to the Lunch Room for the Assembly they got to see Mrs. Batzell and her new baby girl.  She was only 6 days old.  The kids in the class got to see their teacher's tummy grow during the school year and were all very excited when they finally got to meet the little baby face to face.

Ladybug with Mrs. B for the last day of School.

After school let out that last day we all went to 7-11 to get Slurpees
and then headed to the park to play.

Happy Summer 2014!!!
