Picture of the Day!

This past Christmas found us snowless but New Years has made up for it.  I had some quick errands I needed to do today and had to forge out into the snow.  It was not that bad but I still do get a bit nervous when coming to stop signs.  The skidding out into coming traffic is not fun.  Also trying to drive up a hill.  NOT FUN.  But today seemed pretty quiet with traffic and every one seemed to be couscous.

The Library was on my list to visit.  It was not open yet so I was able to pull right up close and hop out to return books quick!  The snow was falling pretty thick at the time.  I have been using the Library a lot more lately for Science homeschooling subjects.  It has been fun to search the Library Website and see what is offered.  I love getting the email when things arrive and I can just run in and pick up the books I have reserved.  A great service.

Lessons will start up again next week.  I have been on the look out for books to supplement our topics of the HUMAN BODY.  I will be back to the Library soon for more books to pick up.

New Years Eve 2014!

Happy New YEAR!
2015!!!

We got to spend NYE Downtown at First Night!

Drove down to the parking lot where the city buses were picking up people.  It was FUN that Bryan didn't have to work.  He has worked NYE for the past 10 yrs!

It was FREEZING!  10 Degrees!!

We got dinner and then walked over the mall.  There were lots of people but not crazy numbers.  Well not at 6pm.  When the Convention Center opened up at 7pm we quickly entered to get warm.  They had Funny Acts to watch, Crowns to make, Tattoos to get, Family Photo Booth and more!

We got home around 9pm and popped in a movie.  Unfortunately the kids passed out by 10:30pm.  :)
It was a quiet night after the kids went to bed.

I pray that every one had a safe New Years Eve.  Here is to 2015.  I honestly am not sure what to think about this upcoming year.  This will be the year of change.  Bryan will be graduating from school and will be looking for a new job, witch means a possible move for us. But we will see where or when this will all happen.

This time of year is always kind of gloomy with the end of all the holidays, and now long snowy days in the forecast.  I am sure we will have many days sliding and drinking Hot Coco.

Happy New Year 2015!

Christmas 2014

Christmas this year we spent at home.  NO travels for me this year.  I miss my family and it was GREAT to be with them last year but to be honest I was looking forward to being in my own home and sleeping in my own bed on Christmas Eve.  Because we were home we were able to attend the Church Christmas Party where Bug got to play the Inn Keeper in the Nativity program that some of the kids put on.

Christmas Eve fell on a day that is normally Bryan's day off so he was home that night!  Amazing!  It was so much fun to have him home.  After opening our jammies we popped some popcorn and made some hot chocolate and headed down to our family room and watched our NUMBER 1 FAVORITE ALL TIME CHRISTMAS MOVIE!!!  :::::: ELF :::::::

It was a good time for all!  Then off to bed to dream of sugar plums and reindeer.

Christmas Morning came REALLY Quickly!  The kids were literally up at 5am.  And even though Santa Clause put their stockings in their rooms at the foot of their beds they still came running out to wake us up to start opening presents.  I know this yearly excitement will not last and in years to come I will be wishing that they were young again.  So I try really hard to enjoy the crazy excitement with a smile.

Here is a few pictures of presents.

Hope every one is having a GREAT Christmas!
