Family Fridays

I love surfing on the Internet and finding things that will help me be a better wife, parent and homemaker. I am inspired by all that is out there from others who share what works for them and suggestions that they share.

I also love to search for curtain topics and one of those things is Family Home Evening ideas. Because I find it over whelming to come up with a topic on my own; I tend to look at lessons that others have kindly posted on the Internet and use them in my quest to educate my son and help bring peace to my home. Sometimes with the searching and looking at the ideas I do come up with something on my own, but most of my FHE ideas are from others.

Here is the link to the first post I did on FHE last summer (July 2007)
Oh and sometimes the lesson works great, and sometimes they don't work at all. It all depends on what Mood my family is in, meaning Bug most of the time, but sometimes myself and my husband. If we are overly tired it can become a challenge. Sometimes I find myself planning way to much in the lesson. I find myself rushing through the lesson to get it all in. Why do I do this? I think it is because I worked to put it together and print up the pictures that "By Golly" Bug is going to see all that work I did. I know this is the wrong reason to be doing FHE, but in the mist of things this tends to be the emotion that sweeps over me. I am human.

Today I wanted to share one of the lessons that I found surfing around. Click here to read the lesson. I am planning on doing this lesson this week; probably on Wednesday evening.

In the weeks ahead I think I will post a new link to a new lesson that I have found online. I have so many links to share! I have to laugh from time to time at my self at how many lesson ideas that I have found online because I collect and collect (hoard) the ideas and then I tend to forget that I have them.

Oh and the lessons that I have found are not only for toddlers but can be for older children too. So be on the look out!

FHE is really difficult w/any toddler. We don't do activities yet. We've had FHE w/Jandre's Family for about a yr now. The boys don't like to sit and listen. Your doing good for trying so hard.
