Ahhhhh! The Baby Swing has saved my life!

Ok, I love my new baby, don't get me wrong, BUT I can not hold her every second of every minute of every hour of every day.

She is so different than Bug. He was content to spend some time alone laying and kicking his legs on the floor and playing with his Turtle Gym. Lady Bug, NO WAY! She wants to be sitting up. She actually can hold her head up really well, and looks all around the room. She is much more alert at this age.

Well, I think we finally found the thing that Lady Bug LOVES! The Baby Swing! My friend Kristi brought her son's over that they are not currently using to test it out to see if Lady Bug would like it, and she instantly fell asleep in it! *smiles*. Ahhhhh! I get a break to go to the bathroom now and eat! Yeah!

We will see if it continues.

We did have a hard time yesterday afternoon. Lady Bug has been having an upset tummy. Colic??? I guess. My Baby cries a lot when she is awake. *sad* I have been giving her some meds to help with the extra gas, and also some infant tylenol to help with the acid reflux that I think has been happening too. It is just so sad, when she cries so hard that her face turns red. I can't seem to help her when she gets so worked up. But sometimes just picking her up and holding her helps.

Here is Lady Bug a sleep in the swing we are borrowing.

Are you using Mylacon Gas Drops? We used to refer to them as "liquid gold" in our house. Both of my boys were extremely gassy and that seemed to help. Plus, if you are nursing, watch what you are eating. I'm sure you know veggies are terrible for babies as far as gas goes and then there is chocolate. It's a sacrifice, but well worth it.

Jake had colic too...We gave him the Target brand gas drops and we used to lay him on his back on our laps and do the bicycle with his legs to help with the cramps and gas. It really helped calm him down and he'd stop crying. Jake loved the vibrating bouncer and Zack loved the swing. They were my life savers and it was hard to get rid of them because the boys spend so much time in them. :)

Get some Anise in the spice aisle of your grocery store. It should be next to vanilla and almond extract. Put a litte drop on her toungue. It will help settle her tummy. I did this for Karlee and man was it a life savor!

We used the Mylikon gas drops for Dom. He was gassy; not collic. Try laying her on her tummy to get some of the gas bubbles out. I am glad that she loves the swing. Don't you wish we could hold our babes all day long. LOL.
I love how you refer to Ember as "my baby". She is all yours!!!!
