a hundred times

Things I must say a hundred times a day:

1. Stop hitting your sister.
2. Get your hands off your sister.
3. Turn that down. It is too loud.
4. Where are your shoes?
5. What are you getting into?
6. Wash your hands.
7. Please pick up your toys when you are done playing.
8. She is just wanting to play with you.
9. Just close your bedroom door then.

but the one thing I must say a thousand or more times a day....is

I LOVE YOU!

Dispite all the hard days...with my kids, I love them more and more each day.

I completely agree! No matter how mad I get at Bug, I always tell him I LOVE YOU! He needs to hear it. All kids do!
Good job!

This is GREAT! I feel like I say the same things - - including the I love you. Isn't that how parenting young kids is? I remember the sibling rivalry starting between Marcus and Cynthia just about the time she started crawling and getting into what he percieved as HIS things. I could see him thinking at 3 years old "woa- I didn't sign up for this!" Years later and they have certainly learned to play well together - - though they still have their share of rivalry, as any sister and brother do. Though now they are old enough to truly know how to both push each other's buttons, and how to be truly best friends. It will be fun (and yet a lot of work) for you to watch it develop over the years!

Great reminder!!! I often feel like I just need to turn on a tape repeating those same things since that's all I seem to do sometimes. But you are so right that we need to tell them we love them even more often--and of course we do love them.
