Lady Bug is 1 month!- UPDATED!!!

Wow, time is passing so fast. It is hard to believe that Lady Bug is 1 month today. I just wish that my pregnancy went so quickly.

It has been difficult to understand Lady Bug's cues and cries so that I can get her what she wants and needs. But I do have to pat myself on my back and say I figured out what she says when she is tired. She does this little "owh" cry. I noticed it a few days ago, and then when my sister came to visit she told me about this Oprah show where this lady talked about "Baby Speak" and the lady mentioned that the sound (reflex) a baby will make is the "Owh" sound. So I had figured that out all by myself. *smiles*

Lady Bug is just so different than Bug was at this same age. I know she is suppose to be different, but I find myself feeling so inadequate to be her mother. I have found myself feeling like I am the worse mother ever, since I can't understand what my own daughter wants from me. I found it easier to understand Bug's cues than the child I gave birth too. I find this so strange. I guess I thought it would be easier with Lady Bug since I had already gone through this stage with Bug, but I was wrong.

So today she turned 1 month old! I am happy about this for so many different reasons.

She is feeling out and looking plump.

She is holding her head up better.

She is smiling at me. REAL Smiles~not those GAS Smiles, the REAL, I SEE YOU Smiles!!!!

She only has 11 more months tell she turns 1 year old!

She will soon be playing with her toys, grabbing at them, and sitting up, then crawling and eating solid foods.

I am looking forward to the future months.

Today, my friend Alyson took Lady Bug and me to Kiddie Kandids for her 1 month pictures. I was so surprised how well they all turned out. It was a fun process to watch. She didn't cry to much. The lady taking the pictures was so patient with her. And looking at the pictures made me proud.

Here are a few pictures from the photo shoot.

cute. And look how smart you are!
My baby is easy to figure out. He eats then sleeps then wakes up and eats some more and then sleeps. the cycle continues.
I read some great books (and not so great ones) with my first if you're interested. One I wish I had read when she was first born- would have made a huge difference with sleep. My others have been easy babies, and maybe that's just how they are or maybe I actually learned something. Probably both, but more that they were just great babies.
